What makes a great boudoir photo? Sharing 3 simple tips today that will help you look amazing next time you are in front of the camera. 1. Glossy lip. With current trend of matte lips – it is easy to end up with dry looking chapped lips. In photos glossy, hydrated, plump lips look extremely beautiful, sensual and kissable.

2. Hydrated skin. Use a really great lotion or body cream the night before your photoshoot. On the day of your photoshoot take some lotion or baby oil with you. Right before your photoshoot apply lotion or oil on your arms, legs, body and booty. Hydrated skin will photograph beautifully smooth, will appear silky and will pick up highlights from lighting – which will make your body appear more toned and defined. Please remember – no spray tans – spray tans never look good in photos. They tend to appear splotchy and orange. If you wish to appear more tan in photos – let your photographer know, and they can use warmer lighting to compliment your skin. After the photoshoot it is easier to adjust even skin tones to appear more tan than fixing patchy fake tan and tan lines.
3. Do your nails and toes. For sensual, beautiful photos hand placement is really important. Your hands will show and need to appear relaxed and gentle. So your beautiful nails will show. Imagine a gorgeous close up portrait and your fingers placed near your lips and your nails are chipped or peeling?.. Neat natural nails will look beautiful as well. But if you happen to forget about your nails or there is a last minute nail emergency and there is no time for manicure – stores like Walgreens sell press on nails (even toenails!) and they are just under $10. These are great for photoshoots. What other tips would you like to learn about boudoir photoshoots?
